AFRO-CUBAN PERCUSSION WORKSHOP SUMMARY:
Level: Beginner-Advanced
This percussion workshop will focus on the fundamentals of percussion used to create the exciting and exotic sounds in popular Afro-Cuban music. (Salsa, Mambo, Cha Cha Cha, Mozambique, Bolero etc.) The workshop will include an overview of the main instruments and participants will have the opportunity to play these instruments and rhythms in an ensemble setting. Son Clave, Rumba Clave, Bongo Bell, Güiro, Maracas,Conga [One drum] Marcha,Conga [Two Drum] Marcha, Bolero, Cha-Cha-Cha, Bongo Martillo, Bongo Bolero, 6 Bell. Cascara, Yambu Clave, Conga Bell.
