The Bank is one of those bars that isn't what you think it is. It's kinda a dive bar, but at the same time, it's an intellectuals bar. Lot's of locals come for a beer or to play some darts or to have one of the great Irish Coffees. The Jukebox is strong, the couches are comfy, and the fish behind the bar are real. The best thing here is the company. The owner is a wealth of information on everything from the Civil War, to travel (the flags on the back wall are from countries that he's been to) and he's almost always willing to chat. I've been there when there were a bunch of Museum folks drinking along side a half-dozen writers. Great place to drink. - Christopher , posted 09/09/04 |
