So, this might be a little weird, but I'm recommending a street. Check out Abbot Kinney Blvd in Venice. It's full of antique stores, clothing boutiques, art galleries and arty little places. Some cool bars (check out The Brig) and at least one kick ass restaurant (i think it's called Max's). Also some hairdressing salons and such. Everything there is a little pricey, but it's fun to window shop and check out this very West Village-y kind of street running through the middle of Venice. (Don't venture too far East off of Abbot Kinney or you'll find yourself at the corner of crack and gangbanger. ) - Alicia , posted 09/01/04 |
