hi friends and fam just got home from the theatre where i saw "AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH", a new documentary starring Al Gore on global warming. it is basically a profoundly disturbing, factual slide show - that he has done thousands of times all over the world. something he has been aware of and talking about since the 1970's. i am not stunned - i knew these facts before. and mostly i am just stunned by how complacent we generally are. It is important that everyone see this film, especially in the next 2 weeks, so that it can continue to run. and the film gives us all instructions on how to reduce carbon levels, individually.....and as the film shows, if we dont, we are headed for a huge EPIC disaster.....pretty fucking soon.....excuse the language. but it is really time for us to WAKE UP. and that is really what the film is about. so if my use of the f word does it, so be it. wake up - go see the film! go to www.climatecrisis.net for more information on what you can do to help save our planet, which is in BIG trouble. Pay close attention to the closing credits of this film as they are instructions as to how we as individuals can make a difference. what is obvious in this story - is that americans are the worst offenders (ITS A FACT!) and the consequences of our complacency are here....every tornado - every hurricane - and soon, more - because both greenland and antarctica (whether we are noticing or not) ARE MELTING as we sit in front of our tv's and watch the war in iraq. so PLEASE - see the movie - tell everyone you know to see it - go to the website. if you dont think it is important for you....just look at the tiniest child you know. it is their planet, and they have to live here after we ruin it. EVERYBODY NEEDS to see this movie, if you are breathing......go see it! Thanks to Diana for posting it up first....The global warming crisis consequenses for the future is HUGE, and WORSE THAN I EVER IMAGINED. It was shown so clearly and gave me a kick in the butt to act more conciously towards making changes to stop global worming. Hey everyone! PLEASE GO SEE AN INCONENIENT TRUTH THIS WEEKEND. (I'm not yelling so much as very loudly encouraging!) Distribution deals are made based on limited run showings as you probably know. This is the most important film you will ever see. Bring your friends and family -hell buy tickets for strangers if you have the cash. Also if you are so inclined send Viacom/Paramount email encouraging them to give the film a better distribution and promotion deal than they gave Nacho Libre!!!! Unless you are already a vigilant crusader, spreading the awareness of global warming and its VERY REAL and deadly effects on our amazing planet... ...then you need to see this movie. Al Gore has done an excellent job in organizing and presenting the information regarding global warming. Is it too late to make a diffference? Hey folks, Hopefully many of you have already heard about Al Gore's new documentary film on global warming called "An Inconvenient Truth." It opens in theaters on May 24th. I had the good fortune of catching a sneak preview of it a few weeks ago. And it is AMAZING. It is also very important information for the health of our planet and therefore our society. One great fact you'll learn from the film is that in the last 10 years there have been 900+ scientific papers on global warming. Exactly zero of them have refuted that global warming is happening and that it is caused by man. So much for the uncertainty that the gov't and media like to portray. Like many small films, the number of screens that pick it up will depend on how many people see it during the first week, especially the first weekend. Please take the time to find out when/where it is showing and make plans to go see it. And invite your friends. Your support will directly contribute to more people seeing the film and learning the truth about global warming. Who knew that enjoying a great movie could also do so much good for the planet!?
