Relaxing, Homey Place to Stay on the Mendocino Coast
When we arrived to check-in, we were greeted by owner Greg and the smell of fresh baked banana bread (which was on our breakfast plate the next morning). The rooms are sweet; we stayed in the Vineyard room: clean, comfortable, and the best feature is the Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. I haven't enjoyed a bath so much since I was a kid--you can create some serious bubbles with those jets!
Owners Greg and Michelle made us feel very much at home. The homecooked breakfasts are excellent--delicious and balanced. They are vegetarian friendly and try to accomodate different dietary needs (within reason). Your choice of coffee or tea is ready in the dining room at 8am, breakfast served at 9am. The first morning we started with baked apples followed by spinach fritatta, banana bread and watermelon. The next morning was peaches with granola and cream followed by eggs goldenrod (a house specialty) and cantaloupe.
The inn sits right off Highway 1 between Mendocino and Fort Bragg and is a great central location for all your Mendocino Coast adventures. We loved our stay and will definitely be returning...soon!
