For 8 years the TANS group in Toronto has been hosting 15 swim nights a year in warm water city pools where everyone can not only swim au natural like the Europeans but also play easy 'stand up' style water games in 4-5 feet water. You don't even have to know how to swim! Besides the general all age swims, there are Women's Choice swims where the women can come on their own or bring any male or female guest/partner. In June and early August they will attempt a young adult swim for ages 16 to 29 and hosted by young adults. Their schedule is in the Files of the group site.
