The Cardboard Box Collaborative presents... "says Eugenia" A world premiere dark comedy by Liam Daley, mindy. a beers, and Stephen Spotswood The Theater at 2111 Sansom Street 6/15-6/17/06 at 8:00 6/18/06 at 3:00 6/21-6/23/06 at 8:00 6/24/06 at 3:00 and 8:00 Eugenia feels her life is less than ideal. Her father is dead, her mother is an overbearing hen, her brother is a thief...and then there are her sessions with Dr. Trabshore - a so-called nerve specialist that Eugenia thinks is crazier than the whole household put together. In fact, the more she has to suffer her strange life of therapy sessions, unreliable mirrors, and a talking cat, the less real it feels. Little does everyone know, her foreboding feelings are far closer to the truth than the rest could ever imagine. For this CBC world premiere three playwrights accepted the challenge to create one full-length play. The resulting "says Eugenia" is a black comedy portrait which asks: how is your mind feeling today?
