sooo much material!!
I have the first two DVDs of this series and I LOVE them! There is so much information that I felt the price was really worth it. Delilah is a gorgeous dancer and is very clear in her explanations of moves. - Kaia , posted 11/21/06

Gotta agree with Delilah
Out of all the DVD´s I have, hers are my favorites. These days I´m teaching, but not taking classes, so I´ve been revisiting the whole series. Delilah has been and continues to be one of my most important teachers/influences.

Hi there, I'm Delilah and I've been dancing for over 30 years. I have produced many instructional programs and I got to say "I use my own DVD's alot!" There is so much material on each one that I can't remember it all. It a mix of styles. I call it American Classic. I am proud to see dancers strating out with my tapes go on to be big stars. You know, at different times I work with different rhythms and music. I often turn them on to inspire a class from time to time. I find myself saying "Oh yeah, that step, I forgot almost about that step or combination. When I produced the series I didn't start out with introducing belly dance to the student. I started with the asumption you already were belly dancing and that is I think why they have been sucessful."The videos are my moving notebooks that I'm sharing with the world. I can't say enough about the use of video for dance. Live class is important but DVD are the texts books. It's an important tool. It's really hard to figure out things from written notes sometimes. To see an old choreography on video is like total recall for something that might be forgot. The bar is being raised because you can study with so many teachers via video now. I sell my DVD's all over the world and get great feed back. We try to deliver, quality, beauty, creativity and a ton of information and inspiration. On each one you will find, instruction, performance sometimes commentary, and music tape loops for practice. On DVD they have lots of new material added. Most are 3 hours long (each)! I have performance DVD's too but these are all the instructional ones.

The down side is that originally we had a small budget, but we did alot with imagination and sincerity from the heart that made a difference. The information is solid and over the years we got better and better and always stive to go the extra mile. We totally laundered every frame a couple years ago and many of the great dancers who came out with videos at the same time I did, could not afford to do what we did . Some are loosing thier masters now. I am lucky my family has been in the business. - Delilah , posted 11/18/06
