Most brutal, Gladiator in the 20th Century
I was really jazzed about this book, it fukn had some twists and turns and really got you involved. The only bad part was getting to the last page. I'd like to see a sequel. - Alistar , posted 09/17/04

I really liked this book
I have always been a huge fan of end of world books, and this one was realy great. The characters were interesting, the world rough and gritty, and the action graphic. The realism was intense - Adam , posted 09/13/04

Arizonan Seal of Approval
Adam's story is well-written with a solid plot and fast action. I found myself getting very involved with the characters, emotionally supporting the efforts of the pilgrams and hoping that they would make it to shelter. With gritty and grim depictions of the seamy underbelly of society seeking to rape and pillage the beleaguered citizens of a smashed and blasted country, I found myself actually hoping that the 'good guys' wouldn't run out of ammunition any time soon. The detailed descriptions of the southwest desert environs created an association of the smell of sage and rain-wet desert dirt mixed with the smell of gunpowder. I really hope it never DOES happen like this, but if it ever does... I'll be wishing for a Sako rifle or a vintage Tommy gun just to make sure I have the necessary fire power. Quite fun to read and highly recommended! - • PABlo • , posted 09/13/04

This book actually scared me
I read a lot of books and very rarely do I come across a book that actually scares the hell out of me. Chapter 1 starts out at the usual pace, then BAM! From chapter 2 on it is one scary roller coaster of reality.

I loved the characters, absolutely hated the bad guys (and feared them a lot too.) The story line was fast and really did a good job of illustrating an end of world situation. What really surprised me was that my friend who gave me the advance copy to read said this was the author's first book. Apparently he is off to a really good start! - Jessie , posted 09/04/04

I was really blown away by this book
Even if you are not a fan of post-apocalyptic novels, you are almost sure to like ETNF. Initially I was hesitant to review this book, but on my review site I try to give new authors a chance---and I have to say that I am glad I read it.

The best way to review this book is to say that I was glued to the book. The characters were so real, the action seemed to jump off the page, and I had trouble putting this book down long enough to take a shower. If you are looking for a book that really draws you into the story, then read Earth the New frontier. Five stars, baby! - Mitch , posted 09/04/04
