Best Tent for Pennsic
If you are looking for a really good family sized tent then you want to check out Eureka brand tents. They are the company that also manufactures our militaries tents, so they know how to make something that can hold up in a storm. The large tent we use at Pennsic (www.pennsicwar.org/) is spacious, easy to set up and storm proof.
The two things we who camp at Pennsic in August have to deal with are extreme heat and sudden, violent storms with little in between. The Condo model, which is the one we have, has removable storm shields that cover the sides and entrances for when the storms strike. They can then be unzipped and rolled aside and the interior walls (all of them) can then be unzipped and rolled down. This leaves fine mosquito mesh as the walls and allows for maximum airflow.
We loved it!
The only down side to this tent it the SIZE. It is one BIG tent and takes up some space in the Jeep when rolled up.
