WHEN I FIRST HEARD YOUR MUSIC I LOVED IT, THE WAY YOU PUT FOLK MUSIC WITH A MORE UPBEAT SOUND IS AMAZING FOR ME BECASUE I'VE LOVED FOLK MUSIC FOR SO LONG AND THIS JUST MAKES IT SO MUCH MORE FUN AND FREE AND DANCABLE TOO. I JUST LOVE YOUR UNQUINESS, AND THE WAY FOR ME AT LEAST THAT ITS LIKE THE MUSIC IS TELLING A STORY TO ME, IT REALLY GETS ME SOMETIMES..JUST THE MOOD OR THE FEELING OF THE SONG. I LOVE IT SO JUST KEEP DOING WHAT YOUR DOING!

Holy Sh*t Charlie, this album is good! I was blown away by your 2nd album and then you crank this one out, and it's even better!

It looks like you're having a very creative period in your life -- I envy you!

"I just listened to this song... FANTASTIC! I really love it and I'm getting the vision for a dance already.... "

One day, Falik, we are going to get together and something beautiful is going to happen! Until then, I'll take Rockabelly as far as it'll go! In fact, we're rocking out to that very song at the Hafla this Saturday! Yay, Falik!

Thanx for rush'n those new tunes to my neck of the wood (singular) not enough trees out here to be "woods" and when Bayne gets his next tooth this town will finally have a full set of teeth!

anyhow so I'm jam'n to my new Falik (tm) stuff and Akira asks me...."daddy what's a FLEEEK" and I say to her "It's charlie baby and it's FALIK" so she says "I thought his name was charlie" so i corrected her mistake and she said "can I hear sum more "a-flea-k" what could I do she loves the stuff (so do I) thank a million it makes it a little easier hav'n a bit of home out here.

"Wicked. And it's a ballad. Well the name is. At the risk of sounding ignorant. Is this an original compostion or a rendition of a traditional ballad? Either way it's super cool. : )"

Falik is the perfect example of non-genre music and he's really honed his sound on this release. Congrats to Falik and go have a listen.

This morning, I'm listening to Falik . Magnatune describes this husband and wife team like this: "Falik infuses middle-eastern, Greek, Celtic, and Baltic folk elements with electronica; it is at once exotic and familiar."

It's good music for listening to while you're sitting at work on a blustery Seattle morning, and you really want to be somewhere else.

"My God, the Stars!" is also a cool song by FALIK (and I don't know if that's pronounced "fa-LEEK" or, you know,... the other way.

Wowser!
That Falik (musician) stuff is really interesting ... and I am not making this up ... I've said for much of my life that musicians are different from other folks ... not intended as a putdown or slur ... it's just that they hear things we don't ... but we get to appreciate some of it when they share with us ...
