A good place to preview and buy fonts
This is a good place for a comprehensive and broad overview of most font libraries available. You'll find FontFont, Adobe, Emegre, FontHaus and other labels here. You can look up fonts and compare them, or fonts that look similar or are in the same category.
Copying and distributing fonts "for free" has become common practice among designers and print shops. Keep in mind though that it's still theft and ask yourself if you would also want to take a painting for free, if it's actually worth something. Some artist has put his love and energy into the artwork and it took a long time to create. The same is true for fonts. Unlike other software, fonts are not programmed with libraries. Each character has to be drawn by hand, scanned, changed multiple times and the kerning of thousands of letter combinations has to be optimized.
Alternatively, there are various fonts available online which are freeware or cheaper shareware. Many of these are not bad at all.
