If you need to get a hair cut or styled and don't want to spend the usual $12-18, Supercuts offers free haircuts at their training centers in Seattle, Bellevue, Tacoma, and other training centers in most major metropolitan areas. I have used them a number of times and have been very satisfied. The locations, phone number to make an appointment and usual week the class is scheduled are as follows for the Greater Seattle/Western Washington State area: Seattle: University District store 4732 University Way NE. (206) 527-8475 Usually the first week of the month Bellevue: 15400 NE 20th St. @ 156th Ave NE Bellevue (425) 643-0522 Usually the second or third week of each month. Tacoma: 253-474-6226 usually 3rd or 4th week of month Gene Juarez's Advanced Training Facility at 1901 Fourth Ave. in Seattle also offers free haircuts on Friday and Saturday. The phone number is (206) 340-9161 and they only seem to answer it between 1-2 PM. A possible choice if you plan to be in the area. You may want to leave a tip as students have to travel to these sites to train. If anyone else knows of any other free haircuts, manicures, or pedicures, I and others on a budget would like to hear of them.
