I lived at Haad Son for almost 5 months in 2004. The staff is really great and friendly. There is a range of rooms from thatch fan bungalows to air con units. The vibe is chill with a pool and secluded beach on the west side of KPG. It's a cheap taxi ride from Thong Sala where the ferry lands and you can make reservations online.
