Furniture shopping fiasco
On Sunday, May 28th, 2006 my husband and I were shopping for a bed frame at:

where we purchased a bed frame as well as several pieces of matching bedroom furniture. The amount of $5056.10 was charged to our credit card for which we were given a receipt and a promise of a phone call concerning a delivery date. After a few weeks we got tired of waiting for a phone call and so called the store ourselves. We were told that the furniture we ordered to match the bed frame was not available in the color we wanted, did we want to get it in the other color? We declined and asked to be refunded for that portion of the order – which never happened.
Not once did they ever call with an update or progress report about our order.
6 months passed and still we didn’t have a bed frame. We heard nothing but excuses every time we called. Calling frequently involved being put on hold, repeating information several times, being told that the person who could help us was not available and a promise that that person would call us back – which never happened.
During our last call to the store owner on Saturday, October 21st, 2006 we requested a full refund to our credit card account which he promised would be accomplished on Monday, October 23rd, 2006. We called credit card company Tuesday, October 24th, 2006 to see if it had been done – which it had not. We then had to dispute the charge and have it removed.
