Astounding
With a classic dialectic style, Quinn systematically disassembles the reader's current view of reality and offers a new perspective, one that will astound those with ears to hear. - Pāli , posted 01/17/07

Ishmael is boring
Wonderful story. Awful writing. It goes on too far. The writer needed to learn when to end the story. It went on and on and on and on. You get my drift........................................................... - fire , posted 08/06/05

Meh...
Seemed to be going well there but then it kinda petered out. I'm not a big fan of books that attempt to uncover wonderful spiritual truths without any practical side to them. I felt a little let down because it was a pretty good book for the most part. - Dan , posted 04/04/05

most life revolutionizing book of all time
This book will knock down walls that you couldn't see past. It addresses the "way we came to be" and where we as a race are headed. I read this when i was thirsting for some profound truth and lessons. Everyone should read this as soon as possible. - Tammy , posted 09/05/04

An excellent and easy read with a great message.
Daniel Quinn has written a number of books and all of them are worth reading. They have important messages for people living in our society. I've seen him speak and he is someone who is making a difference in the world through his words and actions.

You'll defintely come away with something. - OpenMike , posted 08/19/04
