Dim Sum in Brooklyns Chinatown
This place is huge. There are like 50 tables, seating up to 8 people, family style. If you want to speak English, the only one there is the guy up front taking the cash. There are about 20 ladies wheeling carts around with fresh dim sum, hot and cold. Do not miss the mussels and shrimp balls. They start the dim sum at 10 am and end around 4 pm, there?s a menu, but not in English, for other hours. Best way to eat is to point at what you like when it?s wheeled around. The crowds are huge for Sat. and Sun. brunch, you may wait 1 hour. No reservations. My friends and I pig out there for like $10-$15 a person. There is a great Chinese supermarket across the street. Location is on the NW corner of 61st Street and 8th Ave. 718-492-6888
