It Won't Hurt!
A gentle plea for some GOODIES

"I promise it won't hurt when I lay you down"

the soft non threatening sound of the vocalist is convincing that it won't hurt. There's a Ralph Tresvant "Sensitivity" aura

The verses paint a picture of a hesitant virgin or coy young lady being coaxed into giving it up. the verses are methodical and logical

the instrumentation stays consistent but not to the point of monotony it's more hypnotic.

the arrangement/structure of this song seems to have a strategy...the lyrics woo and the music (melody and mood) with it's tentative yet urging tempting approach whisper: it's ok, come on, you know you want to, while the Chorus gives direction, guidance, and assurance

this is a very interesting well thought out song great songwriting

kudos on production, lyrics, melody, beat, mood, and orginality extra credit for smoochiest love song - marenda , posted 10/15/05
