I sat down with this guy one saturday. He had his energy drink nearby. His hand rested on his mouse. His other hand fidgeted around, on his keyboard, then scratching his head, then resting on his chin, and finally back to the keyboard. The man was a maniac. He would bounce from drudgereport to google to the hottest blogs faster than you could blink. His hand incessantly clicked about on the screen and it didn't seem like he was retaining any of the information he was scrolling past. Later when I went through his history log and asked him if he knew what was on the sites he was able to regurgitate most of the information he covered. I was impressed. Of course his social skills are a bit lacking. I wouldn't want him to date my sister. And that seems to be his only downfall. Once you remove him from his native platform he goes all to pieces. I introduced him to some of my friends and I'm hoping we can help him get out a bit more. I would recommend him to anyone though, as long as you can deal with his comments. - Peter , posted 07/15/04 |
