It is worth the drive and if you like fresh crab meat, you must try the crab nachos at the little restaurant located amidst the little artist shops on the top of the cliff overlooking the beach. I will post the exact name of the restaurant when I get it. Here, you can sit under an umbrella, sip a margarita and watch the waves roll onto the beach down below. It is a perfect little respite to your journey of trekking up and down the main strip, through the unique shops and galleries of this beautiful artist community. It is not cheap, but it's a pretty perfect day trip. The ocean down here is CLEAN so swimming is a must. There are a number of beaches and tidal pools to explore.
