i'm a lifelong geek DIYer. i was snowed in all week and suffering cabin fever so i decided on a quick trip ( 25 miles one way) to town for diversion. i enterd barns and no bull bookstore. i barely made it into the door when something, i suppose it was the rocket on the cover, attracted me to a magazine on the bottom shelf. it was a magazine called MAKE. though it was already five years old i had never seen one before. while i reqularly read such DIY mags as TMEN, homepower etc. i rarely buy one. on close examination they seldom provide more than a couple tidbits of usable info. the majority bieng advertisements which i refuse to pay for. but this mag was DIFFERENT. examining it's 192 pages i was surprised to find that EVERY page and EVERY article held my attention. i bought it. now i must say that this is the greatest magazine since homepower and the mother earth news. GEEKS, CRAFTSPERSONS, INVENTORS, survivalists, simple life, photographers, ALL are GONNA LOVE THIS MAGAZINE. it's TOOOOO FAR OUT for my words. i am in no way connected with this magazine - Unsubscribed , posted 02/22/06 |
