The best Marc Canter
Of all the Marc Canters in the world, this is definitely the premier vintage. Smooth, robust, well rounded, balanced and not very fruity. - , posted 11/16/05

no-brainer
agreed. I have a T20 who someone (not me, I swear) spilled an Arizona Iced Tea all over. The ThinkPad still worked but it was really sticky. Called IBM, they sent me a new keyboard - arrived next day for about $60. It was cake to install - great directions - and now it's good as new. During the install, also noticed that the keyboard actually has a built-in tray to catch the liquid like that which was spilt. Beautiful! - Dan , posted 04/19/05

ONLY IBM
I've had three ThinkPads and they are the only laptops I'd buy (although I've had a few hard drives crash - their new tech should prevent data loss). Big plus is they are tough - my briefcase strap broke and my thinkpad fell end over end down a hard flight of stairs and still booted right up - no harm done at all - I was amazed - Norm , posted 09/22/04

My IBM T40 sucks
My employer issued us all T40's and mine is SLOW and it caches all the time! The hard drive is very slow and the screen isn't as good as the HP's or Dell's. - dragon , posted 08/30/04

Everyone should see it.
There are a few issues, a few (the commercial is on right now as I write this) stretches, but that movie will leave you speechless and shocked when you leave it. And, it's not the stuff about the Saudi's that will humble you, it's the mother who sent her son into the military, where he died in Iraq.

If that does not move you, then nothing will. - , posted 07/14/04
ONLY buy a IBM laptop
Dud e- anything but an IBM laptop is gonna suck. All the other leyboards are toys. IBM is teh only laptop with a real keyboard.

I think the one to buy is the T40 - or soemthing like that.

Trust me on this one.... - Marc , posted 07/12/04
