More Piffle
Unfortunately though the plot was 'tootal roobish' there were some great cameos and pretty hilarious characters. At least when people pull out lines/quotes, I can tell where they are from.

Full of your favorite stereotypes - I recommend - you will laugh, maybe not your 'ass off' but you will laugh or at very least smile! - Cee , posted 06/07/07

The Funniest Movie I've Ever Seen
If think this is another dopey-ass teen comedy- think again. This is a dead-pan comedy classic of the highest order- think Bob Newhart in his prime hopped up on PopRocks and Mountain Dew. Impotence and imcompetence are mined to their fullest comedic effect and the acting is pristine and the storyline nearly Pythonesque in its non-linear absurdity. The only criticism I can make of this film is that I was laughing for the entire length of it and some of the jokes didn't scan. But given the dismal laughless state of today's alleged comedies, it's a fault I can live with. - Unsubscribed , posted 07/16/05

gosh!
I think this movie is great; and have watched it several times. The humor is very offbeat, playing off of the quirky behavior of the very well developed characters. Reminiscent to Wes Anderson's characters, I laught out loud every time I watch this movie! - Jenni , posted 06/16/05

Lame
I didn't like this movie at all. I felt as if the humor was intended for a 10 year old and the sotry was non-existent but maybe thats just me... - Robot Robot Robot... , posted 04/26/05

so much better than most movies these days
I'm pretty sure it was filmed with the rules of the Dogma '95 school of filmmaking. (My dude, Patrick, actually realized this first, so I have to make sure he gets proper credit.) The plot is odd; the pace is really, really slow, but it's ultimately rewarding and funny. - meagan , posted 01/07/05

So fricken brilliant!!
I just saw this movie and I was seriously laughing non-stop. It wasn't the story at all, but just the quirky mannerisms of the characters. It's definitely not for everyone, but I think if you like movies that are off the beaten path and have an interest in geeky heroes...this is just right for you. - lux , posted 09/13/04
Movie Review of Napoleon Dynamite
An alienated teen decides to help his new friend win the class presidency in their small town high school, while he must deal with his bizarre family life back home

I'd see this at a matinee, it is funny, but not spectacular. - Charles , posted 09/12/04

offbeat geek superfilm DANG!
The more I think about this film, the more I love it. The central performance is incredible - if you didn't know someone like this, you didn't go to high school in the 80's. Not only is it incredibly funny, but really quite touching in a way. It's one of those films I can't wait to own on DVD and watch over and over. It's full of terrific quotes and some kick-ass throwback music. When In Rome's "The Promise" will now forever be married to this film. - James , posted 09/04/04
