I know that Nené used an "Aria Pro II" PE model guitar for much of that period. This is the guitar you will see him with performing live with Kanda Bongo Man on the "Welcome" Video and DVD and hear on the "Soukous in Central Park" CD. I imagine that this is the guitar featured on "Soto." Looking at the current line of Aria Pro II PE guitars, they all have 22 frets. Nené's guitar definitely had 24 frets. He currently uses a Carvin guitar, and also owns a Paul Reed Smith, a Samick, and Fender Telecaster, a couple of Ibanez guitars, and more. Do a Google search for Aria Pro II PE and you'll see a variety of photos and reviews. You might need to find a used one if you want the older 24 fret model. - jeffura , posted 08/09/06 |
