A fun trip
Olympic Hot Springs is located adjacent to the Boulder Creek camping area in the Olympic Mountains, for those of you who don't know where it is already. They are pleasant set of natural hot springs scattered on the hillside on the other side of Boulder Creek from the camping area, with one located back along the creek and up at the top side of the hill. The hot springs vary in temperature from one to the other... some are fairly hot while others are simply "Ahhhh that's wonderful". I will post a blog with the driving directions later (I need to refer to my Green Trails maps of the area to do that as I don't remember the names of the roads- it's been a long time). The springs are clothing optional, or at least were, so don't be surprised to see a lot of skin.... or don't feel shy about showing yours. A fun thing to do is to take a pack stove and something like tea, coffee, or cocoa along, and a light meal to eat while you're there. Also make sure to pack a towel and garbage bag with you (please do your very very best to keep the area free of debris so the next people visiting will enjoy it as much as you did). Maybe I'll see you there sometime! (Don't worry, I won't torture anyone with my lack of clothing.)
