The Order of the Mithril Star is a Druid organization that promotes the "Heinleinian" lifestyle of polyamory, naturism, and communalism. Headquartered in the "Redwood Empire" region of Northern California, the group also takes a pro-active role in the protection of the last remaining old growth Coast Redwoods, even going so far as to call for a national moratorium on the harvest of these magnificent trees. The group also takes a pro-active role in the promotion of Reformed Druidism and was instrumental in the formation of the international "Reformed Druids of Gaia."
