Influential sci-fi author
I've been reading various compilations of his early short stories. The cliche "Ahead of his time" really applies to PKD. They keep making movies out of his stories, because he's so damn good. - Ken , posted 09/27/04

One of the most unsung influencers of our time
Dick has inspired a raft of movies, (most noteably Bladerunner, which is my favorite). Many (Minority Report, Total Recall, Paycheck) are based on short stories. Dick's writing is DENSE. You have to think hard when reading it - it skips across schitzophrenia, science and politics without ever getting bogged down. - C.J. , posted 07/07/04
