There are some artists that just have it. You know when you hear their music or watch them perform that they're the real deal, and that someday you'll look back and go "God am I glad I saw them when I still could." Hayward rapper "Ryan "Rewind" Weaver is one of those artists. 23 year old Weaver grew up being shunted between his musician father in California and his often absentee mother on the East Coast. Although Rewind deals with these issues in his songs, his words are a story of redemption and survival, not the regular run of the mill "my mother wasn't there for me so now I'm an asshole" retoric often paraded out by other artists. His words are by turns touching, funny and oftentimes brutal, but you stay with it because you want to here whats next. Rewind's live performance is something of an artform itself. His beats get the assses off the seats, and he fills the room with a pulsating energy that you'll carry with you long after you leave the show. Rewind is currently in the studio collaborating with his fiance, model Raylene Dyer, on his first CD.
