People who didn't know what all of the freakout was about when fans started petitioning TV executives to bring Firefly back on the air will instantly understand after watching this movie! The characters are well developed and portrayed in a harsh future where a young woman has been tortured by the government to turn her into a weapon, and those that have rescued and harbor her are being chased by a ruthless assassin who will stop at nothing! I'd say the film is more enjoyable if you have watched the series, but it's still a great science fiction film on it's own, and will hopefully pique your interest in the rest of the episodes. - Jenni , posted 07/13/06 |

Okay so I'm a big fan of science fiction, so I'm biased. Haven't been to the movies in a while, but this one got me away from the computer. If you haven't seen the series first (Firefly) then I recommend you watch it first, but the movie is still good. Western meets Star Wars meets Buffy.
