Extrodinary local story of a cult
I read this book from cover to cover. It is a fascinating and incredible honest story of how the author was vulnerable to a cult, how he got hooked, all the abuse and mind control he went through, and how hee finally got out. It is alos about how he got hsi daughter out and restored his life and faith.
Each chapter iis interesting in itself. The guy is a very good writer. A lot of the book is rather dark, but he reveals his own state of mind and emotions very well throughout. He wrrites from the awareness he had in the moment but at the same tiime the reader can see the whole picture of what is going on. He doesn't shy away from revealing the shadowy side of life, including the sex. You really see and feel what it is like to be in a cult. The depth off ffeeling expressed throughout is very moving and engaging.
Reading it definitly helped me to prrocess some abusive relttionships I experienced in my life.
The author has a strong soul and comes through the experience with love for God in the end.
I highly reccomend this book although it is not for the faint of heart.
