SuperShadow- Fact or Fiction?
Star Wars’ “Inside Man” Is Making Some Bold Claims, But Can He Back Them Up?
SuperShadow claims to be George Lucas’ best friend, but Lucasfilm won’t comment. How then does someone lay claim to “Creative Consultant” on everything from Indiana Jones 4 to the upcoming Star Wars TV show? Both the new Indy franchise and Star Wars: the Series have been announced. (May the Force Be With Us.) Dare we then hope that SuperShadow’s other bold claim has some element of truth to it? Star Wars: The Sequel Trilogy (.com)!
Dare we hope? Dare we let Lucas go near the screen again? Dare we believe this schmuck who claims Lucasfilm rolls out the red carpet for him? We’re all entitled to our opinions about Lucas’s recent and upcoming projects (and Yoda knows, we have them), but I for one “want to believe.” (How’s that for crossover?)
Star Wars Episode VII: The Fallen Hero. 30 years after Return of the Jedi. Luke Skywalker gets his arm re-attached. An army of dark jedi invade the Bespin Cloud city. Hayden Christensen gets to act again, because the dark jedi are trying to clone Luke and Vader.
Star Wars Episode VIII: The Republic in Crisis. The Mandalorians (origin of Boba & Jengo Fett) attack the New Republic. Luke & Mara Skywalker’s and Han & Leia’s Jedi sons fight heroically side by side in an epic space battle. Many Jedi pass to the Force. Mass Jedi Funeral scene at end of movie. (The dark middle episode)
Star Wars Episode IX: The Victory of The Force. Vader and Skywalker Clones Mature. Fight side by side against our favorite Jedi Heroes. A black-hole superweapon is used to destroy the source of the dark side, a system called Valorious. Mass Jedi Ghost scene and celebration at the Jedi Temple on Yavin IV. Cameoes for everyone from San Jackson to Liam Neeson as every Jedi who has died since the first sith war 4000 years earlier reappears to join the celebration.
Sounds farfetched, but it may be true. These are Million-dollar scripts that could only be done justice with Lucas’ CGI. With the Series to complete gap between Ep III and IV, it might be cool to have Star Wars Bookended by another fancy CGI sequel trilogy with the nostaligic original nestled in the middle. I’ll buy it. So will millions of others. It answers several new questions raised by the prequel, and loosely incorporates the “Extended Universe” of books and comics that Lucas has peripherally overseen.
Also, these movies could be a Sign of the Times. Many Heroes have Fallen. The Republic is most certainly in Crisis. And we need a Victory of the Force. If Lucas starts now he could have these ready in time for 2012. But with the series in the works Shadow tells us to expect them sometime around 2014.
I want to believe.
