I always wondered when the world would start to resemble the Douglas Adams' books, "Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy." Well, here's another technological step that this luddite appreciates. I can use my Commuter Checks to add to my TRANSLINK bus pass. The staff person at the Transbay Terminal tells me that ALL Bay Area transit services should be accepting this pass by this March. (BART, AC Transit, SamTrans, West County, all of 'em.) This a good thing if you don't have a car or if you commute daily. It makes life one step simpler.
