The movie starts off with a string of cliches about police & detective work, and attitudes towards a woman in the job. And the cliches and predictable "twists" continue right up until the last twist... which is one of those twists that comes out of nowhere, is implausible, and ultimately unsatisfying. Neo-noir story of a tough female detective whose one-night stands keep winding up dead. Despite all the red herrings, it is somewhat predictable. Ashley Judd looks great, though. If you liked STRIKING DISTANCE, you might like this. Rent or buy used. - Evil Larry , posted 11/07/04 |
