The movie was great and as Matt and Trey have always done they exposed the absolute stupidity of people of all kinds. - Unsubscribed , posted 03/22/06

Magnum Opus.
Never has there been a greater scene of vomit.

And, of course, the makers' talents for writing musicals shines. Shines on and on! - Jesse , posted 11/16/05

America, FUCK YEAH
Well, aside from some parts being downright stupid, I still think this was an excellent movie. It was a wonderful political satire, and they were tactful (for the most part) in poking fun at many social issues our culture has been facing over the few years. That being said, I honestly don't think I would have enjoyed the movie nearly as much had I not been playing the Team America Drinking Game every time I saw it.

Wanna play the game? ;) Of course you do!

Grab a piece of paper and write down actions, sayings, or things from the movie. ex: puppet with a beard, "dirka dirka", "terrorist" etc. Try to go for 25-30 cards.

**Make sure you have a piece that says "strings". This is the wild card.

Rip the paper up so that every action/saying/thing is on a different piece of paper. Put all the pieces of paper into a hat or jar.

Go out and buy some 80 proof vodka. Invite 8-10 friends over to your house.

Now, to play the game each participant draws a card from the hat. Everytime the action/saying/thing on the card is on screen, the person holding that card must take a shot (or sip a mixed drink if you want to take it easy!). Once the person has taken 5 shots or sips using the same card, it is discarded back into the hat. If someone has not taken a drink for 10 minutes holding the card they have drawn, they must discard it and draw a new card.

**Wild card: Strings. The strings card, once drawn, must always be in play. Once the card holder has taken 5 shots, they must switch cards with another player. Once that player has taken 5 shots, they must switch cards with antoher player (and so on).

It's quite the fun game, I must say. Enjoy. - britz , posted 09/27/05

Zzzzzzzz
Boring, ham-fisted pap. The South Park boys can't decide whether they love the Neo-Conservative War machine or should make fun of it because things aren't going too swimmingly in Iraq. If you think changing Screen Actors Guild to "Film Actors Guild" is a hilarious gag, this film is for you. Because that's about as clever as this pile of crap gets.

Don't quit your day jobs, guys. - Unsubscribed , posted 07/16/05

GREAT, for what it was
This film was one of those that you can only watch once, but that one time is well worth it. It simply shows just how rediculous this country really is, and oh how well it does it. So come on people, it's called a sense of humor, quite being so narrow minded about things and see the film for what it was meant to be. - Unsubscribed , posted 06/13/05

What's wrong with you people?
How you can say you like Trey and Matt and really understand their humor, yet not like this movie is beyond me. It seems like you don't really get their humor after all if you don't think this movie is right on target with the political satire, not to mention their constant satire of the media in general including Hollywood!

If you truly do get their humor, you will love this movie. If not, well...read some of the reviews below. - Dan , posted 04/04/05

not my type of humor
watched it, but can not remember what happened...thats usually what happens when I see a crap movie!
I was bored with the type of humor!!!!!!
I love South Park and I also like Trey Parker and Matt Stone, but this movie was made without even trying to come up with something funny, that I really regret spending my money goin to the movies that night....... - Philogmasie , posted 03/04/05

Totally irrelevant
I agree that this movie was irrelevant. I normally love political satire, and I love South Park, but this was just...well, boring. It was like they weren't even trying, they were just counting on the fact that people would go see it because it came from them and their previous work was good. They were resting on their South Park laurels and it turned out lame. I almost walked out but kept thinking it would get better...any minute now and something good will....*snore*. - Maggie Athena , posted 02/15/05

Great Fun if you like puppets and satire
I like kid stuff in general and puppets in particular. I enjoyed seeing puppets in a story for grown-ups that poked fun at a lot of different groups and political ideas. The movie is basically a bunch of jokes strung together and not long on story. It's good for a laugh if you're seeing it second run somewhere you can have a beer and a slice...which I did! - Thia , posted 01/21/05

A decent parody of American flag-waving cinema
Most of the songs are really funny.
The puppet sex is boring and lame.
The vomit scene is **way** over the top, and completely gratuitous.
It's not as good as it could have been. But the parts that work are really funny. - meagan , posted 01/07/05

Political humor at its best
If you're offend when some one swears or talks about sexual acts then this movie is not for you. Furthermore if you are not up to date with current events and politics then you'll miss 3/4 of the pure genius that is Team America.

irrelevant instead of irreverent
Expecting another "Bigger, Longer and Uncut" this ruined an evening and wasted eight bucks. Could be the puppets were harder to make work than they thought and there was no time left for writing. - Joe , posted 12/22/04

Poop stops being funny when...
Tops the list of 'Movies I've walked out of'.
Maybe I missed the punchline, but if you want to watch a better version of this movie watch 'Meet the Feebles'. One good scene...Michael Moore blowing up the Team America headquarters bearing two hot dogs...if only he blew up the folks who made the movie.. - Shawn , posted 12/16/04

Expected South Park - Got Crap
South Park is an awesome show. It's humorous on two levels. You can watch it with friends that aren't very smart and have a laugh, or you can watch it with others that are very smart and have a bigger laugh. It's subtle humor that points fingers at the "masses" is great. I thought Team America would be an awesome, anti-jingoist movie that would piss off the common folk. Instead, I saw a bunch of idiotic puppets taking part in a sci-fi movie. I was so let down. If you're a smart ass like me, you will NOT like this movie. - Scott , posted 11/08/04

Guaranteed to offend anyone who can't laugh at themselves
WAY better than I expected, and I expected to like it. More "I can't believe they said that" moments than I can remember, and layers of subtlety just not right for such hardcore irreverance. - Jackson , posted 10/18/04
