hated it!
I wanted to like this book. Really I did (who doesn't like a good boss from hell story?). But the author has a way of making everything sound so trite. Her informal prose became tiresome very quickly. There's a way to be breezy without sounding dumb. This isn't it. - eenerf , posted 09/07/05

Funny Book
For all recent college grads, this is a hilarious book, detailing the drudgery of an entry level position. The amin character is a girl who cares nothing about fashion, but winds up working for the very powerful editor of the most respected fashion magazine in the country, who turns out, of course, to be an intolerable ogre!! The details of life as a recent transplant to New York City navigating her way around the world of hipsters, is hilarious and rings true. To the problems of dealing with roommates to the nonstop nightlife, anyone can relate. Andrea gains and loses a lot through her first year in the "real world!" And its a great story. - Unsubscribed , posted 09/04/04
