The Intent of Intent
There is the Watcher and there is that which is watched.

There is the Doer and there is that which is done.

The Watcher is that which perceives and focuses on anything. That which it perceives and focuses upon is that which is watched. In the case of self focus, it is better to focus on the Watcher than upon any of it's products. Thus the merits of, "awareness of awareness".

The Doer is that which decides and takes action. That which is moved and acted upon is that which is done. In the case of self focus, it is better to move the mover than to focus upon what is moved. Thus the merits of, "intent of intent".

It is easy to confuse one's state of consciousness with the thing done, as apart from the doer itself. Intent is always the Doer.

It is easy to confuse one's state of consciousness with the thing watched, as apart from the Watcher itself. Awareness is always the Watcher.

The supreme focus of self change involves these two causal forces of soul and body, and not the activities which they promote. A life focused upon cause is always superior in result to a life focused upon effect(s).

The intent of raising and purifying intent is all that is necessary. Therefore, of all the six elements of consciousness expansion, (see The Perpetual Raising series) the one which is truly fundamental is, "right intent/right action". With right intent in place, all other things will follow, including Mastery and the maintaining of Mastery.

In the raising of oneself to greater levels of mastery, it can be said that; the intent to raise intent is the very hand that lifts, as well as the hand that is lifted. It is both the elevator and the thing elevated. For the knowledgeable and experienced practitioner, the elevation of one’s intent makes its’ gains as a meditational focus in a snowball like fashion. This is so because the thing that raises and the thing that is raised become one and the same. Just as soon as intent is raised, so too is its’ ability to raise, (expand consciousness) which in turn means it is raised yet again in a more proficient manner. This spiral cyclic process can be pursued at will to any level of Mastery, with the only limitation being that imposed by the mind of the practitioner, and ones’ overall fitness to sustain increasing spiritual power.
