Tribe - A lesson in letting go
So...........tribe.net has morphed into its new incarnation..........far removed from the values it promoted when it began. In its wake more will follow........the same..........but different............It's up to us to take what we learned and move on. We have benefited greatly from its vision.
Thank you tribe.net

Tragedy at Tribe.net!
In a move that has many users reeling tribe dropped a bombshell new look and feel on their purported 350,000 users after only consulting with a handful of them, and failing to act significantly on the largest most prevalent commentary regarding the look and feel of the pages. The changes, which Tribe Admins & Mgmt types are so far largely defending, may indeed have some beneficial value, but when combined with the new look, it has seems to be having quite an effect in the negative. Though they are agreeing to make some adjustments to this new style, they are woefully slow in responding to the most harmfulof all concerns, that some users are experiencing physical pain from viewing their website now.

In this reviewer's opinion, Tribe should have done a lot more work ahead of the game instead of forcing this on everyone as a largely imperfect fix to something which tribe users who have commented on it so far don't seem to think was broken.

tribe has sold out to the man
what the hell is up with this nastiness?
tribe is an abomination of what it once was.
I suggest we respond to this mess with a few complaints.
that is if you still give enough of a hoot to spend a few minutes doing the whining.
I'm going to anyhow.
I mean look at the "members" logo

Tribe.net versus MySpace, 360.yahoo & Blogspot
After a friend turned me on to tribe.net, I checked out a few of the other personal blog sites (myspace.com, 360.yahoo.com and blogspot.com). None of these other sites seem to have an online community associated with them. Most of the people who visit my tribe.net page are other members of tribe.net. This site fits my lifestyle. I like to socialize online. The other sites I mentioned seem dependent on users signing up then inviting others (outsiders) to visit their pages. Has this been your experience also or have I been missing something? - , posted 07/16/05

Tribe = Good for Business
I've advertised on Tribe for about a week now to do people's taxes as the "Tax Ninja" and received a TON of cleints, all of which are really neat and interesting people. Tribe is 100% ninja, and I reccommend it to everyone.

Rip off of CraigsList.org. The navigation is a little awkward as well, but hey, they let me post this, so that's a plus! - Dan , posted 10/05/04
