Wal-Mart did mine
Hey, just thought this might help out in case you don't live near Mission & 16th... I got a pair of deadstock 1950's frames, and Wal-Mart optometry was more than willing to make the prescription for them. I brought the frames in and within a week they made new lenses & it worked out great. It might depend on the Wal-Mart near you, but I thought I'd share! - Jezebelle , posted 01/20/04
Try Lenscrafters
I just got a set of cheap acrylic lenses fit into a pari of pince-nez frames I bought on ebay. Lenscrafters did it for soemthing like $75.

Good luck... - Tox , posted 01/03/04
Glasses for Less Optical affordable, fast and friendly!
Glasses for Less Optical on Mission @ 16th is affordable, fast and friendly!
I brought in a pair of vintage frames and had my basic prescription filled in 2 days for only $45!!!
The owner(?) is SUPER nice and friendly and does good, solid work!
There are also a precious few frames there that he can fill cheaply and without insurance, you could get a whole new set of glasses and frames for under $200.
