He may have better albums but I know this one is great. there is pretty good variety, generally it's indie rock without any hipster formulas, excellent instrumentation, some of it with plenty edge but mostly pretty mellow, like some sort of modern steely dan (ug!). at least one of these songs i heard on the film Love Liza... Jim was also the "consultant" in the School of Rock, and makes a little appearance on the dvd extra, but he's mainly a behind the scenes kind of guy. - Unsubscribed , posted 02/23/05 |
