passing this along but haven't yet seen it, curious to know what you all think....
It is important to have an understanding of the international banking and monetary sytem - especially monetary policy and currency trade however I am not sure this movie completely demystifies it nor does it point to the most critical and problematic features of the system. The mobility of money and investment, responsible for the Asian financial crisis etc...
It is unsettling to learn that our currency is almost entirely supported by the Chinese and Japanese governments that continue to purchase it - I hope Russo speaks to this
Yes, global homogenization and integration are strong forces in alliance with the continuation of the current international financial system - states and citizens' power are deteriorating under this force - I also hope he breaks down this geopolitical force while chanting for border controls etc.
I also hope some background and context is given for the internationalization of the banking system itself which 'officially' happened under Reagan in the 80s
Can't wait to see the movie and whatever it may bring!
A national uprising against the national income tax and our corrupted leaders? Count me in!
