super market but you're too late
this totally sux so i'm sorry its a downer. i got back to LA from a six week escapade in s e asia and to my absolute horror my favorite super market, pioneer market, had gone out of business. i heard that a rite aid is on its way but i can't confirm that. plus there is already one like 3 blocks away on glendale blvd. what a boner man. they had this incredible season lamb that i would bbq and while i waited i used the bench press in the back yard. i mean what's better than cooking meat and lifting waits in your own back yard. well i'm sure you can relate to this hardship i'm currently having to endure and if you really are i know just the thing to fix everything. go to this hamburger stand that is connected to a meat/produce/canned goods/convenience mart called something like 'alvarado market' or something. its located at the north east corner of sunset blvd and alvarado blvd intersection. they're not premade paddies either the chef grabs a handful of freshly ground beef that i'm assuming comes from the butcher shop next door and grills it. it sure beats the burrito king. man does that place suck. the only semi redeaming thing about the burrito king is the cute looking donkeys on its big sign, but once you taste the food, you realize that once again you've been had. anyway, there is no more pioneer market however, pioneer chicken is still going which if you're facing the front of used to be pioneer mrkt, pioneer chicken is located just back and to the right and still has a drive through. i've never had a problem there but have heard from some that it makes them feel slightly ill eating there. in an case just go to mcdonalds. no problems ever reported there, right? tuesdays=$1.oo 6pc chicken nugs. best of luck!
