Clothing that changes lives
After attending the first under construction iron designer face off, I promptly staggered back to my house and began a 4 month long, Wagnerian episode of weeping and smacking my head repeatedly against as many hard objects as I could find in the vicinity.

I had discovered how horribly unfashionable I was!!! It was VERY painful!

After many tears and having significantly altered the shape of my cranium, I finally pulled myself out of this Old Navy and Gap induced whining fit. I then proceeded to track down several of the angelic sewing machine chics from the event. Eventually after countless hours of groveling and a few threats of suicide, I persuaded one of them to do me the great honor of allowing me wear some of her creations!

Joyfully, my attire now consists of at least 98.765% handmade, one of a kind apparel designed by devastatingly dreamy girls that I know myself. WOW, I’m so lucky!!!!

If you attend this 2nd installment of under construction, you as well may have a life changing experience that could transform even the most monstrously unchic, into dazzling archetypes of what it means to be dapper, dashing, chichi, classy or even snazzy.

Also, the music will ROCK!! - groundchuck , posted 04/19/05

A "fashionable" excuse to watch people work their asses off
The first under construction event in berkland helped change my perspective on what art and fashion and a production could be. It was a way to see a collaboration in action from design to production to end product. The collective energy put into the event spiked and ebbed into the art piece. It was beautiful. I feel the lessons learned from that first production will only add to the beauty and FIRE for this upcoming event, under construction II. Please join us. - ty , posted 04/13/05

must see!
the first Under Construction was a whirlwind of good times... but the live design was a rush! I had two stunning models, yards and yards of gorgeous pink satin flying through the air, mad music, a beer and a glass of champagne on either side of the serger! Every once in a while I caught a glimpse of the crowd, jaws on the floor in amazement. Who ever knew watching designers at work could be so intriguing? :) I came all the way from Boston for it and it was well worth the trip! The designers were all REAL, sweet and immensely talented... I bought a signature piece from Letty that makes me feel like a work of art when I wear it! And Estar & Miss Velvet Cream & Tinc & Ana Konda .... oh I can't wait to see the new designers... just tingles of anticipation for Under Construction II on 4/23... shop, play, create LIVE amid beautiful people in a space with such an amazing vibe!
here's the post - but really you should do a search for it on tribe so you can see the flyer too...it's hot! :)m
