The dances of Mizu Desierto Butoh Theatre lean often towards an invocation of memory, absurdity, place, cultural reality, and the feminine. We are American Butoh, dancing our personal ancestry, our plasma, and our particular North American identity. At this inception we are all women, most of the time.
