The Quiet American ( miscellaneous » movie reviews ) "Interesting Pre Vietnam War Flick" Michael Caine, Brendan Frasier and a cast of good Vietnamese actors create a noirish, almost surreal tale of what Saigon was like before the US invaded. Cinch ( local favorites » restaurants ) "Good place to chill in Santa Monica" Try Cinch on Wilshire. It's got an eclectic space and the food is pretty good. I think they may be charging a cover these days. The crowd is all pseudo groovy.

Getz/Gilberto ( miscellaneous » music reviews ) "Girl From Ipanema, etc" If you are looking to get into the old brazilian jazz thing this disc is a great way to start. Perfect tunes for evening cocktails, dates, etc. Have fun.
