How is it possible to be everywhere dance is, and always be a part of it? SOOZ does it, with a lovely flourish and a wacked-out sense of humor! Where the heck does she get all this energy?!? She is as gracious with her time as she is graceful with her dance. There simply aren't enough words...

Such a warm and inviting energy. I had no idea who she was all weekend long at gothla but she would always open to talk to spastic me. Then at the after party i finally asked her name and she said Sooz. I was like OMG!! You are the funny one i always see on tribe and never talk to. I was so grateful to her and her warmth. Now i shall stalk her forever :D

Sooz is one of those women you just wanna noogie. Because you think she's all hot and skilled and awesome and funny and totally fantasmagorical, and then you tell her, and she's all... "Naaaah, lil' ol' me?!" But Sooz's humility is sincere, and it's just another wonderful thing about her!

I first met SOOZ at Tribal Care in 2006. What I remember most is everyone, literally everyone, knew her and thought well of her. it ws amusing to watch as person after person screamned "SOOZ" while running over to her to get a big hug.

I spend a lot of time at belly dancing shows, and if I find out that SOOZ will be performing I'll try extra hard to be at the show. She's just that good.

Keep your eye on this lady. She could easily become a big star in the belly dancing world.

Thank you for dancing with me in a duet this weekend at the Earth Day gig at the World Beat Center, for your gentle words of encouragement, for leading with such clear cues, for not flinging us into an eight-count spot turn on that weird dance surface, for letting me borrow your extra zills when I was the only one without them, and for always reminding me that no matter how much terror I feel about performing in public that it is all about love, connection, and fun. I really appreciate your loving kindness and compassion, and I absolutely adore you. You inspire me every time you dance by reminding me to worry less and smile more.

Sooz....what can I say. She's one of those people you see and just want to be around. Never a dull moment during reheasal or a show Sooz can crack a joke and keep things light without ever compromising what needs to get acomplished. Dancer, musician, comidian, friend....what a joy! (you like the joy part? I wrote it myself :)

Soozy scares me. That maniacal laugh, those eyes that you just know are plotting something evil and perverse, and that extensive knowledge of way too many wacky and weird tunes on her keyboard.

Still, there are things about her that are strangely compelling (or compellingly strange?). :-p

Just kidding. Sooz is one of the funniest people I know, and a blast to hang out with and make music with. We always know the party is really kicking into high gear when she walks through the door. She's an excellent musician, a great dancer, and an all around fun person to spend time with (depsite the occasional Tourette's Syndrome outbursts). Did I mention Buzz?

I highly recommend getting to know her; you're life will never be the same afterwards.

Sooz is one of the most dedicated dancers I know. She is a very young student, but is constantly striving to make her dance the best it can be. She is also hi-frickin-larious. She is one of the few people I have ever seen able to carry off great dancing with humor. Without her Devadasi would not have the wonderful depth that it does.

Susie is the Carol Burnette of the group - her movements show the true comic's desire to express her innermost feelings - which aren't always funny - often in humorous ways. She is wickedly hilarious, but can be bitingly satirical. She uses her body as a sort of canvas in motion, always telling a story. And like the best artists, leaves you pondering the question "Que?"
