We were up on the ziggurat, and it had taken ages of ages to get the thing built just right, and it had taken ages of ages. But we all agreed that the view was just spectacular. Anyway, we were dangling our feet over the edge, and agreeing that Shurruppak was really getting to be a nifty-cool-keen city, and we were wondering how to keep it going. It's at that point that Liz said, "hey, what if we scratched some symbols in this wet clay, and gave official meanings to all the symbols?!" It seemed like a silly notion at the time, and we laughed at her, but eventually we had to agree that it hadn't been all that bad an idea.

Liz is my lover, partner, teacher, and best friend. She's a drummer, a dancer, a scholar, and has a voice that will still your soul. She also happens to be the best damn vegan chef in the northwest and has an incredibly smackable ass when dressed in vinyl.

She makes me weak in the knees and my heart go pitter patter.
